Lighting Workshop

In class, we looked at two different styles of lighting. One being Caravaggio, and one being Tim Walker.

Here are photos taken in the style of Caravaggio, taking influence from his chiaroscuro (contrasting light and shadow) lighting.

Tim Walker is a more contemporary artist, who uses artificial lighting within a frame to light the subject.  Here are some photos in the style of Walker:

Taking part in this workshop will be useful in making my film as it has given me inspiration for different ways to light a shot. I think I will take more influence from Tim Walker in my film, for example I want one shot to be outside a tent, and have the only source of light come from within the tent.
